The Zipwake external GPS antenna is a 5Hz 20-channel receiver with excellent reception that provides accurate and rapid vessel position and speed updates.

Zipwake the hull truth. Either Volvo or Zipwake moved to stainless gears and I would be looking for metal gears over the plastic ones myself. The antenna has a rugged construction is fully waterproof and can be mast or surface mounted on any vessel. Vessel speed is a necessary input for the Zipwakes automatic motion controller.

No idea if Zipwakes will last but the concept is the same. They are made of a composite housing which can be painted with whatever anti-fouling paint is used on the hull and since the blades retract when not in use they stay free of growth as well. Adjust the trim tabs to achieve a planing attitude.

The Volvo QL tabs that the Zipwakes are similar to used plastic gearing and there was a pretty high failure rate I believe. Also adding to problem Very poor exhaust geometryno room for a good system-purposeful prop overloading for speed. I read from another member that it works great on a 35 Henriques.

Use the power trim to position. I even tried a post on The Hull Truth with hardly any responses. Bennett Trim Tabs in combination with power trim enable both the hull and prop to be trimmed independently.
