Web nose stud to hoop not sure where to find this information, but i am wondering when it would be good for me to change a nostril stud to a hoop.

The gauges looked the same size but i’m worried the hoops gauge was a bit thicker. It healed well and i was able to change it to a hoop after three months. My nose has healed fine with a stud and its been over a year.

Or would switching to a hoop cause more damage? The smaller the gauge, the thinner the jewelry, the more chance of a “cheese cutter” effect on the fistula. I’m not looking to get a septum just the standard nose piercing.
