How to sew a headband with elastic. Folded in half, my elastic only needs to be 7 inches long. Cut two pieces of fabric on the fold. Line up the raw edges of the elastic piece and larger piece.
I add 2 inches to allow for the knot, so i cut it 9 inches long (folded in half). Cut a piece of fabric that is 3 3/4″ x 19″. Multiple sizes for babies, toddlers, kids, and adults.

Next, sew along the edge of the fabric. The headband size recommended is 14 inches. Push the folded under ends over the stitched end and stitch again.
