One way is to use the voice.google.com website.

To view your text message log history, sign in to your account at the verizon website. These missing messages are not shown on the web page but when they are received by the phone, the count of messages awaiting on the message icon in. Then, select the “account” options and then choose the “online text” option and this is one of.

As the number or contact is entered, a matching contact may appear. Enter your username and password. Send and receive messages over.
