For our first project, we placed it in a container and filled it up with the mixture.
How to bleach a black sweatshirt. I recently tried to bleach a hoodie at home and wanted to share the process with you! I have had good luck with this on several. Make a bleached tie dye sweatshirt using just a few household items.
Start with damp fabric because it will absorb the bleach in the next step much better. Rinse your sweatshirt and remove rubber bands. Use a wider tip pen for larger areas.
When this is done, you should then rinse your clothing in the wash. Place rubber bands in varying sizes all around the sweatshirt including the front and back of the sleeves, cuffs and the bottom ribbing. Make a bleached tie dye.
If any stains persist (they should only be small), you can then use the rubbing alcohol method to remove. Watch and stir for at least 10 minutes or until the shirt appears to have. Get your item of clothing wet.
Here's an easy diy project that's fun to do at home! Place the rubberband sweatshirt in a sink and soak in a solution of half bleach and half water. What makes bleached black shirts turn white??
Sheila on oct 11, 2014. Not dripping, but you want it to be damp. You can use more or less rubber.
