How to add subtitle to powerpoint slide master. How do I add subtitles to master slide. It seems to be a special problem with the kind of odp which PowerPoint produces. Well I went and deleted those on some slides thinking I wouldnt need them but now Ive changed my mind.

You find Subtitle in the right category which is Presentation Styles. Click a location on the layout and then drag to draw the placeholder. Type the default text you want to appear in the Footer or Date and time fields.

Select a Slide Master This is the largest slide at the top. Change the alignment of the master title and the master subtitle to left align. The Slide Master will appear in the left-hand pane.

The Footer or Date text is editable on the slides. If the text doesnt display on all slides click on HomeReset on those slides to update the display. You cant change the formatting of all your subtitle text boxes at once by changing the slide master.

It contains placeholders for the slide title and the slide subtitle. Next access the View tab of the Ribbon and click the Slide Master button. You cant enter your subtitle text in PowerPoints outliner.

If you add a text placeholder you can add custom text. On the Slide Master tab in the Master Layout group click Insert Placeholder and then click the type of placeholder that you want. Choose Slide MasterClose Master View.
