A Nor-Tech catamaran took the title of the Fastest Boat in Norway.
Fastest nortech boat. The twin-stepped bottom has a 22-degree deadrise at the transom and the boat tips the scales at 36000 pounds. It ran a two-way average of 191 mph and a top speed of 202 mph. At 39 long with a 10 beam and weighing in at 125000 pounds plus 285 gallons of fuel the boat is no lightweight.
When powered by quad Seven Marine 627 s the boat has an estimated top speed of more than 70 mph. The economy was crashing but Trond and Nils wanted Nor-Tech to survive and thrive. Hulls are pulled from handcrafted molds and hand-laid woven fiberglass with Kevlar to ensure durability and longevity.
The boat powers right through the wave and continues at speed. But the 450R engines get on plane in seconds and the boat lifts out of the water without losing sight of the horizon. Harbour Island lies just across the channel.
Does Hot Boat know something that I dont know. The 390 Sport ran flat out with a touch of trim and achieved surprisingly good mileage for a boat powered with three Mercury Racing 400R outboards turning 25-inch Rev 4 props a long pitch for its weight but beautifully matched when you consider its 59-second time to plane and snappy 71 seconds to 30 mph. The art of boatbuilding at Nor-Tech involves extraordinary measures to produce a boat of the highest quality.

This Nor-tech boat looks like its cutting right through the waves until it stuffs the bow and soaks its passengers and crew. Last I remember someone mentioned another crazy boat besides Xtreme Xhibit that I was supposed to be keeping an eye out for on Irondequoit bay and some Rochester female was planning on winning the lottery and making Xtreme Xhibit look like a Bayliner. Anyways the article claimed that it was the fastest Nor-Tech ever built.
