What are faces, edges and vertices?
Edges on a shape. The cube shown below has 12 edges namely ab, bf, ef, ae, ad, dh, eh, hg, fg, bc, cg, and cd. An edge is the curve formed where two of the planes defining [bordering] the 3d shape meet. For example a cube has 6 faces.
Any two adjacent faces of a solid meet in a line segment called an edge of that solid. Soft edges indicate a gradual or smooth transition. Edges are straight lines that define the sides of the polygons.
These can be used to describe 2d and 3d shapes. Sharp points and has straight lines can have edges. A face is a single flat surface.
Hard edges indicate an abrupt or sharp transition from one color shape to another. Two adjacent faces of a cuboid meet in a line segment called an edge of the cuboid. You can find the number of edges by counting the sides.
