Personally, back of hand was fine, it was the fingers (pinky most of all of them) and the webbing between the fingers that was pretty intense. I have a few little stock and poke ones and i have a little very void/weird looking kitty on my outer forearm. How much a neck tattoo hurts will also depend a lot on where exactly you’re getting inked.
I don't like them on the throat but otherwise i'm fine with neck tattoos. Neck tattoos tend to be very painful. I don't want to like get stabbed in a nerve and become paralysed!
The back of my neck was probably the worst one. Don’t be shy about asking for short 2 minute breaks, just to keep your head in it. It hurt worse than just sitting for longer tattoos i've had.
