It will not start or turn over.

Yamaha jet ski won't start just clicks. Mines clicking but not starting. Does your PWC require a unique key or custom ignition modification that has. If its not even clicking swap the ignition switch.

I am wondering if the starter is bad and if there is any way to check it out before I send it in. If youve put a new battery in your jet ski and it still wont start then it could be that the new battery is dead and needs to be load tested. Make sure the clip is in place.

Got a new relay. I have a 1999 Yamaha Waverunner xl1200. If your jet ski clicks multiple times when you hit the start button then its a weak or dead battery.

Next I was going to spray starter fluid in the carb. Pull the spark plugs and the PTO cover and make sure you can turn the engine over by hand. I installed a new battery and that did not help.

If bad voltage at the starter measure the voltage at the solenoid small input terminal from keyswitch with key turned over to start. There is no reason to try and check fuel or spark if it wont crank. Select the Unlock Mode in the Yamaha Security System.

I put a new battery in the ski 1992 Yamaha VXR 650. You can usually hear the starter hanging up when attempting to start. Ive attached a video.
