Whistler in summer tripadvisor. Whistler has now reached the point where there are just as many visitors in summer as there are in winter, although hotel room rates are far lower and there is actually more to do in summer. Will the summer activities (bike park ,rafting etc) still be operating or is it too cold and the winter season starting. Thinking of going to whistler in summer (june)and having a hard time finding information of things to do during that time of year.

We are two couples planning to visit whistler next summer and figure we would spend time hiking, seeing the sights in the near vicinity, taking the gondola ride, etc. I hope to visit whistler in late sept. We were thinking of driving up from vancouver for the day in july.

The whistler gondola usually reopens at the end of june, and you can go up the gondola all summer, and then up the peak chair to the very top.
