Excel VBA Text Function.
What is the use of text function in excel. Use the LEFT function to extract text from the left side of a text string and the RIGHT function to extract text starting from the right side of text. Use the ISTEXT function to check if value is text. ISTEXT will return TRUE when value is text.
Often value is supplied as a cell address. For example ISTEXTA1 will return TRUE if A1 contains apple. The TEXT function is a built-in function in Excel that is categorized as a StringText Function.
The Microsoft Excel T function returns the text referred to by a value. One of the most common uses of the Excel Text function is to insert dates into text strings. As a worksheet function the TEXT function can be entered as part of a formula in a cell of a worksheet.
The LEN function returns the length of text as a count of characters. Essentially the function will convert a numeric value into a text string. In the first argument value you supply a number or date to be converted to text or a reference to the cell containing a numeric value.
