I use these emacsen and emacs-alikes almost as often as I use GNU Emacs because theyre easy to compile and run from home on servers where I dont have sudo privileges. The best programmers use vi or emacs because the most experienced programmers are the best and 20 years ago there wasnt much choice except vi and emacs.
