If you want to report a user just follow the steps below:

What happens when you report a post on instagram. Open the instagram app and go to the home screen. First, instagram will notify you about its received report, and once validated, your account might be disabled. Instagram will also delete all your posts.

If a post is reported, it will be reviewed by instagram's community review team. I’m just using this post as an example. You will not see this option in a group chat.

Select a reason for why. Click the three little dots in the top right corner of the post. Select one and select report.

You can also tap and search their username to go to their profile. First, find the post that you’ve got an issue with. Select the three dot menu icon by their name.

To report an instagram account or user, do this: Select the report icon and tap on report this comment option from the bottom menu. Open the profile of the person you want to report.
