The concept of family is extremely important in the Bible both in a physical sense and in a theological sense. And moreover when members of our family are going through hardships we can provide assistance to them. However that will not be our primary focus in heaven.

Many people say that the first thing they want to do when they arrive in heaven is see all their friends and loved ones who have passed on before them. The concept of family was introduced in the very beginning as we see in Genesis 128 God blessed them and said to them Be fruitful and increase in number.

But real love is not dependent on feelings. The Bible says that Gods love for us in Christ has resulted in our being brought into His family. Ephesians 64 showing once again that God comes first.

God gives every good and perfect gift and He wants us to be like Him and to learn the art of giving from the heart. And that is what we are 1 John 31. The Art of Giving.
