Thanks for ant comments.
What does text qualifier mean in excel. I have installed Standard SQL 2005. Use this property only when your query table is based on data from a text. A text qualifier is a symbol that lets Excel know where text begins and ends.
I try many format but it seems that the text file does not have text qualifier. As needed revise the sentences or sections relying heavily on them to give more detail and more specifics. It is used specifically when importing data.
Typically the text qualifier is a double quote. However for some unknown to God reason Excel. You can use the TEXT function to embed formatted numbers inside text.
Each each row on the text file would be evaluated by the value in one of its columns and written to the appropriate worksheet. Text qualifiers is the answer. Then I go to File Open in Excel 2007 and it brings up the Text Import Wizard and I select Delimited option along with the delimeter being a comma with the text qualifier as a quote.
Jian I just tried a simple example along the lines of the data you just gave me with the following input. Qualifiers affect the certainty and specificity of a statement. Say you need to import a text file that is comma delimited commas separate the different fields that will be placed in adjacent cells.
Say you need to import a text file that is comma delimited separated by commas and one of fields is a description that could potentially contain a comma. When Excel encounters the text qualifier character all of the text that follows that character and precedes the next occurrence of that character is imported as one value even if the text contains a delimiter character. It is used specifically when importing data.
