Weber 12a150. Reviews (0) 12″, 40oz alnico magnet, 1.5″ voice coil, ribbed cone. (if you use no pedals for dirt and you want the speaker to break up a little): This is meant to be a demo of my 1967 silverface deluxe reverb amplifier.
Brighter, smooth breakup, aggressive, punchy, loud, curved seam inverted rib cone similar to one version of the original. I think the stock speaker is 97 db / spl. Maybe too much speaker for the deluxe.
Between my webers and wgs's(fat jimmy), i'm in tone heaven! Reviews (0) designed with early 60’s brown amps with alnico 12’s. Jul 30, 2015 #1 h.
This clip is played directly plugged into the amp, no pedals or effects besides am. Weber 12a150 vs 12a150a in blues deluxe. Also great for alnico tone in bf amps.
I know, i know another tweed deluxe speaker thread, but i have read all the others and am wondering specifically about this speaker. The sound was too dark and the speaker was less efficient than the p12r it replaced. Start date jul 30, 2015;
5.75″ no cover, 6.25″ with cover, cutout size: The 12a150 is a warm speaker, the 12a150a, and 12a150t get progressively brighter. It was too warm for my tastes, but that was in a tweed amp, which is pretty warm to begin with.
