If you find whitespot on a fish in your established reef tank then you need to treat the whole tank with a reef safe whitespot treatment and hope for the best.
Treating ich in reef tank. That statement right there tells you that it's not h2o2 that is killing the ich/velvet but most likely something else. Without a fish host to maintain their life cycle, the ich parasites will die out in a display reef aquarium within 76 days at the most. Btw, the company makes no claims that reef.

Nanomania, nov 30, 2011 #1. Remember there is no “reef safe” ich treatment that will actually eradicate all of the parasites! That said, i've used reef rally by itself to combat uronema with no problems.
Rather than treating the main aquarium, move the sick fish to a bare bottomed quarantine or treatment tank. So i suspect the kick ich component was at fault. None of those reefsafe treatments will work.
Proven treatment methods to eradicate. Once the tank has the ich parasites, the most effective medications to eradicate it are not safe for corals and invertebrates. Using copper to treat a marine ich infection is probably the gold standard method.
