A tritoon is a triple-hull pontoon boat.

Generally speaking pontoons can handle much better in slightly rough water than other recreational boats since they have two hulls providing more stability to the ship than one hull could.

Typically the hull of deck boats are V-shaped. These can be areas such as bays or inlets. Every boat is different but as a general rule of thumb pontoon boats tend to stay flat or bank out unlike the inward bank of a V-hull.
