Other engine options are a 5L V8 which I consider are enough horses because few of us need to travel around at 60mph during normal boating. We recently bought a 95 maxum inout with a mercruiser 30. Put your volt meter on the main battery cable before and after the fuse on the starter and see if you get 12V through it or not.

If you get power. Normally if the 90 amp fuse at the starter is blown you lose all power to the dash but if your boat is getting its accessory power directly from the battery the 90 amp fuse could be the issue. Boat at Lake of the Ozarks Mo.

March 1 2002. Hi I have a bayliner Classis 93 and Im having an issue after installing a new switch panel. A loose connection on the back of the key switch or even a bad keyswitch could prevent a motor from starting like it should.
