Start at a straight wall and lay your first row joining all the edge boards.
Laying laminate flooring skirting board. Then slide the long edge of the flooring under the other baseboard, straightening the flooring piece into place. When adding the laminate, allow a small expansion gap around the edges. Use spacers to ensure you maintain a 10mm gap.
Get a few lengths, whack them on with grip seal and some 50mm tack/wood nails or screws.give a coat of wood primer, then a fine bead of white painters mate/caulk to the top of. Make sure the gap is small enough to be covered by the skirting. As chip says,, take the skirting off, put the floor down, replace the skirting.
Before you start laying the laminate, make sure they floor is clean and free from any dirt or debris. Then line up the overlapping end, use the floor installation tool to pull. Using the hammer knock the crowbar underneath the skirting board so it starts to rise and the crowbar fits underneath.
When you reach the end of the first wall, continue along the next section. Skirting boards, are used for three reasons: Installing wooden skirting boards, especially on a laminate, is quite difficult.
Removing skirting is likely to split or crack the skirting meaning you need to buy more to replace it. The first board should be a 1/2 board then continue along the row. Cut the laminate boards about half an inch from the base of the skirting, working from one end of the room to the other.
This will allow for any movement in the flooring. Removing and refitting skirting is an awful job. I just laid a oak t&g floor under existing skirting by cutting ~1 inch off the bottom of the skirting using a reciprocating saw and a chisel.
