Previously NEFT was available for customers from 8 am to 7 pm on all working days with the exception of second and fourth Saturdays of a month plus Sundays excluded. But not anymore as the Reserve Bank of India RBI has directed all the banks to make the NEFT facility available to all customers on a 247 basis on all 365 days from December 16 2019. The revised NEFT timings will be effective from December this year RBI announced in Fridays Monetary Policy Meet.

Is neft 24 hours now. NEFT interbank transfer is now available 24X7 mandated RBI No more rush for NEFT transactions now. The RBI had recently made the National Electronic Funds Transfer facility available for 24 hours and throughout the entire year. NEFT transactions after usual banking hours of banks are expected to be automated transactions initiated using Straight Through Processing STP modes by the banks.

There is no restriction on the transfer of funds via NEFT even on bank holidays. NEFT is RBI-controlled platform which facilitates interoperable payment for fund transfer by a customer between different accounts. This is expected to revolutionise the retail payments system of the country governor Shaktikanta Das said during the Monetary Policy press conference.

0100 hours 1900 hours 1900 hours 0000 hours and 0000 hours 0100 hours 2nd and 4th Saturday Sunday and Bank holidays. The fund transfer takes place on a half-hourly basis which functions from 1230 AM to 1200 PM. RBI today said that it will make it easier for people to transfer money as NEFT will soon be available 24 hours as opposed to working hours on weekdays as of now.

Can I track my Neft. The RBI has decided to make NEFT money transfer facility available not just for 24 hours a day but also on all days of the year including holidays. The first settlement will take place after 0030 hours on December 16 2019 Night of December 15 2019.

The settlement to beneficiary will be done as per RBI batches. Rs 10 lakh or Rs 1 crore based on customer segment Rs 10 lakh. Therefore NEFT is now operational in India regardless of holidays.
