Is it bad to celebrate your birthday alone. I like to take my birthday as an opportunity to do things I like to do. It is very important especially when you turn 50 to take a step back and reflect on the last four decades of your life and think of what you want to achieve and accomplish in all aspects of your life in the next decade of your life. After all it is my day.

But maybe your birthday causes a fear of getting older and facing your own mortality. It is your birthday so it is quite natural to want to do things for yourself and on your own. But every 5 or 10 years my wife celebrates it inviting friends andor family and I participate because she always invites me.

Birthdays should be happy occasions. It is an expression of thanks to God for being born and still being alive. I newer celebrated my birthday.
