Ilona yatch. The 82m Ilona yacht was built in 2004 by AmelsShe features an exterior design by RWD and an interior by RWDShe cruises at 15 knots and reaches a top speed of 160 kn. Ilona is a well-traveled yacht extensively photographed from Europe to the Far East which is not surprising as her owner is an experienced yachtsman. The yacht is named after Franks mother Ilona Lowy.
After a lengthy refit period inside the sheds of the Abeking Rasmussen shipyard in Germany the 736-metre measurement before refit motor yacht Ilona is back on the water this month sporting several cosmetic and structural changes. The 2004 Amels-built superyacht is now cruising Mediterranean waters again with a brand new forward helicopter landing deck and grand open swim. Amels won a bid to build the Australian owners new yacht and the shipyard worked closely with project manager Captain Elworth to provide custom features such as a helipad that converts to a hangar.
