Font weight does not change. They are doubling up the normal font to simulate what you are asking for when there is no actual weight of that type available. I changed the font cdn url. The unavailable weights simply display the logically closest weight.
Web if a weight of exactly 500 is given, then 400 is used. The three weights do have names but aren't specified in the href link so i'm not sure if the name needs to be added. I'm using windows 10 {renamed by mod}

And i set the font weight to be 800 as it is the highest on fonts.google.com i. Web normal normal font weight. You might need to adjust what you’re loading via the typekit admin.

Web it's definitely using quicksand on the page but the problem is that when i change the font weight from 400 to 500 it doesn't change. Lighter one relative font weight lighter than the parent element. It could be that the font you’re loading in doesn’t have a weight lighter than 400.
