If you don’t have any fans in your home, then you can use the neutral wire as a ground for the fans.
Fan yellow wire. Black = gnd red = +12v I don't want the fan to have speed less than its 100%. It is similar to pwm output but it is the frequency that is related to rotation of the fan.
Alt.comp.hardware.homebuilt ( more info?) have 2 90mm fans connected to 12v fan leads from power supply. Neutral wires are white or gray electrical wires. Web in the ceiling box where the fan is installed, there are:
Discover the different color codes and their corresponding functions for the fan's power, ground, pwm, and tachometer wires. Web a three wire fan adds a tachometer output to the two wire fan. The yellow wire pulses an output voltage twice per fan revolution.
Connect the blue wire from the fan to the household main distribution neutral wire. Web in most fans that i've worked with, the yellow wire is referred to as the tach or tachometer wire. Web 1 bldc = brushless dc (i find this abbreviation uncommon) feb 1, 2013 at 1:06 add a comment 2 answers sorted by:
I know it reports the fan's rpm but i can't find exact information on what this signal is, if it's a voltage change, or. I was looking to find some info about the yellow wire on pc fan or 3 wire fans other then the pos and gnd. Web the yellow wire pulses an output voltage twice per fan revolution.
What is the 3 wire use for temp sensor or speed control? The gpu fans only have 3 wires, and assuming the red and black wires are power and ground which is almost always the case, yellow must be tach. White wire the white wire is a neutral one that performs the function of completing an electrical circuit for a household ceiling fan.
