You can now disconnect the hose from the faucet bib.

Drain hot tub with hose. Run out the hose to a convenient area of the garden where the water can drain out or into a sewage input/drain. Turn the wet/dry vac on for a few seconds, long enough to prime the hose and instigate water flow. You will soon find the chlorine.

First, turn off it by flipping the circuit breaker. Before you drain the water, test it to make sure the chlorine level is at zero. Put the end of the hosepipe into a drain or a space away from grass, plants, flowers and your property.

You can drain your hot tub with a standard garden hose, which can take 2 hours or longer. When the hot tub is empty, turn off the pump, remove it from the spa, detach the hose, and return it to storage. To clean the tub completely, add a small amount of jet clean to the water.

Be certain to hold the kink in the hose until you get the end that you are holding below the level of the hot tub itself. Drop the hose into the tab, make sure it lands in the bottom, and then turn it on. Position the other end of the hose lower and right into the drainage or sewer, so the water can flow out, aided by gravity.

Allow the tub to circulate for twenty to sixty minutes, or until the goop has turned brown. Crimp the hose if the faucet is higher than the hot tub and take the end of the hose to the lowest place in. Make sure the end of the hose is below the level of the other end in the tub.

Open the valve to allow the water to drain out. Attach and screw the end of the garden hose to the drain plug end. Attach the other end to the vacuum.
