Have a pretty low pain tolerance, but i am thinking it. You need to be more specific about upper back: I have a tattoo on the flat part of me ear that actually didn't hurt at all surprisingly.

Just afraid i might not be able to bear the pain and end up with a half done tattoo on my back.
