Navigate to the user settings menu (step number 3 in the font tutorial).
Change font weight vscode. It will change the size of the sidebars, top and bottom bars. Then deleting the bold type of the font and keeping other types (including semi bold type) solved my problem, i could now change the font weight in the vs code settings. Configures the font weight of normal text.

Web as of now (march 2018) & version 1.21.0, you can go to settings, search for 'zoom' and change editor.mousewheelzoom: Also from there you can change font weight and size, then restart your vs code to see the change. Web to change your vscode’s default code font, you can either use vscode’s settings ui or configure it directly in the settings json file ( settings.json ).
On the left sidebar, select user preferences. In the settings window, under the editor tab, you will find the font size option. Open vscode and click on the file menu.
