On the 5th April 2013 Lürssen the leading shipyard for large luxury yacht building launched Azzam.

At 180 metres 590 ft in length it is the longest private motor yacht in the world. At 590ft Azzam is 57ft longer than Russian oligarch Roman Abramovichs superyacht Eclipse.

As well as being the largest yacht in the world at an unprecedented 180 metres and still being able to reach top speeds of over 30 knots she also adds another record in regards to building time having spent a mere three years in build following one year of engineering. The megaship has a gross tonnage of 228081 is 1184 feet 361 meters long and has a maximum passenger capacity of 6680 people. Azzam is actually just the world longest yacht as the new Dilbar has a higher volume and bigger displacement.
