Im going to push hard to finish a base on herb and push for a stronger, safer main base in the north. Revisiting herbivore island as a fully functional working base complete with all the things. Shane oct 22, 2015 @ 5:03pm. Herbivore island is very nice and has no agressive creatures but the hidden lake is much closer to the snow biome and most resources. Herbivores are creatures that eat berries and vegetables.

I've wanted to build a base here the moment i saw the location but never got around to it til recently. Is herbivore island a good place to base? I’m gonna behemoth gate off the fracture to the bowl and build a camp with the mid game utilities like fabricator and such.
